ALLENS PARK

Plan Your Ride

Allenspark Stables is strategically located adjacent to the Rocky Mountain National Park and Roosevelt National Forest. This means you have access to hundreds of miles of trails to the Wild Basin Area in Rocky Mountain National Park, back country lakes and trails in Roosevelt National Forest. In addition, there are extensive opportunities for camping, fishing and pack trips in the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area.

Depending on where you ride, your adventure might take you on trails high in the mountains, across gentle streams, through fields of flowers or expansive open meadows with panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains. You may see deer, elk, coyote or other mountain wildlife. The fresh mountain air is refreshing and the stunning beauty of the Rockies will be forever etched in your memory..

Kathrine Krusel manages the Allenspark Livery and is one of the the nicest most capable people in the business. She has been with the organization for close to a decade and will make sure you get the best possible ride. As she worked her way up through the organization she earned the nick name "Compass" for her uncanny ability to guide guests to the most remote parts of the wilderness. She has surrounded herself with positive, qualified and capable team members. Compass takes great pride in keeping the horses she uses at the stable happy and healthy. If your looking for that personal experience stop by and sit a spell with Compass before your ride and you will look back and consider it a great part of your trail ride experience.

For a fishing trip experience that won't disappoint come and let us pack you in to some of Colorado's pristine back country lakes. We are the only outfitter permitted to pack to Ouzel Lake, Thunder Lake, Pear Lake, Finch Lake, Longs Peak and Sand Beach Lake. Compass can get you there.
