ALLENS PARK

Our Allenspark Livery is located 15 miles South of Estes Park on Rt. 7, and 22 miles North of Lyons on Rt. 7. This is a true mountain town with a year round population of 523 people, give or take a few. We have tons of beauty and miles of trails. Our trails vary in skill levels from the “this is my first time on a horse” ride to the “Grab on and trust your horse” ride. The Livery is nestled between the Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) and The Roosevelt National Forest. The Wild Basin Area provides access to the RMNP where you can ride to places like Calypso Cascades, Ouzel Lake, Thunder Lake, Finch Lake and more. Or ride in the Roosevelt Forest and go explore old gold mining areas. Aspen groves and little streams that will sing you a love song as you ride by. You’ll see some great views of Mt. Meeker, Mt. Washington and others. We can go ahead and ride over to the beaver ponds and look for Moose, or ride up high in search of some big horn sheep. Around the meadow and through the woods we go…

Kathrine Krusel manages the Allenspark Livery and is one of the the nicest most capable people in the business. She has been with the organization for close to a decade and will make sure you get the best possible ride. As she worked her way up through the organization she earned the nick name "Compass" for her uncanny ability to guide guests to the most remote parts of the wilderness. She has surrounded herself with positive, qualified and capable team members. Compass takes great pride in keeping the horses she uses at the stable happy and healthy.
