Join the excitement and don't miss this opportunity to participate in an authentic Colorado horse drive. You'll long remember the thrill, the excitement and the raw energy as hundreds of horses thunder across the range. The Sombrero horse drive has been a tradition for over 40 years as we move our herd each spring. You'll join other riders in this unique experience in driving one of the largest horse herds in the state over 60 miles of open Colorado range.

Space is limited and priority is given to past riders who have expressed an interest in returning this year. Register early if you'd like to be included in this exclusive group. Each year it will become even more difficult to get involved as many past riders choose to repeat this great experience.

The adventure begins when you arrive at our ranch at Craig in northwestern Colorado on Wednesday. Upon arrival you get a short orientation. On the second day you'll receive riding instruction and a briefing on colorado horse drive procedures. Third day you can enjoy a casual day on a ranch and wildlife ride.

The real excitement begins on day four as the horses have been rounded up and the drive leaves the corrals. You'll be an active participant and experience the thrill as thousands of hoofs pound the earth as you travel across 60 miles of beautiful Colorado countryside.

Total cost per person is $ 1750 which includes food and bunkhouse lodging for the duration of the the drive and transportation to and from the Yampa Valley Airport. You'll also receive riding instruction and tack. Just bring your bedroll and personal items.

A deposit of $ 875 per person is required to hold your spot. Your check will be returned if no space is available. If an opening is available, your space will be reserved and you will receive a reservation confirmation. Your deposit at that time becomes nonrefundable; however, you may have someone else take your place if you are unable to attend. The remaining $ 875 is due by April 1st.
