ABOUT SOMBRERO
JOB OPPORTUNITIES

It takes a full slate of players to run the Sombrero operation. The team includes many family members and long-term employees. Here's a roundup of some of our key people:

Dan and Cindy Lisco
Dan and Cindy, son-in-law and daughter of Rex Walker, are involved in the family operation.

Mark and Freda Bishop (right)
The Bishop family supervises managing the herd. They are the horse experts at Sombrero. As Rex and Queeda Walker's daughter, Freda has grown up with these magnificent animals and Mark is dedicated over 20 yrs of his life to them. The Bishops know the horses are the "stars of the show," and they dedicate all the hours of the day 7 days a week to them. The horses and the Sombrero family are lucky to have them.

Donald Broom and Sheila
Donald, another Walker family member, is also involved the Sombrero operation. Donald and Sheila have taken over operation of the Steamboat Springs Stable. Donald, originally from Arizona, and Sheila, a native of Colorado, work 7 days a week in the high season. They have made Steamboat Stables a popular choice for residents and visitors to this area of Colorado. Donald previously worked at Estes Park for over 15 years. Donald and Sheila are excited about future plans at Steamboat Springs.

David Weller
A key employee of Sombrero for over 15 years, David is responsible for Hi-Country Stables located in Rocky Mountain National Park. Moraine Park Stables and Glacier Creek Stables provide guided rides on the park trail systems. Because these operations are located in a National Park, they are under close supervision of National Park officials. David is responsible for making sure that all regulations are closely followed, including all safety and park rules. Both of the Hi-Country Stables are very popular, as friends and family choose this activity to explore Rocky Mountain National Park. David's attention to details and knowledge of horses, and the national park keeps these two stables

Chris Stilson
The friendly voice on the other end of the phone in the Boulder office belongs to Chris Stilson. Chris has been a part of the Sombrero team since 1994. Chris is eager to help those who have questions or want to make a reservation for hunting horses, group rides, horse rentals, the annual horse drive or any related services. A long-time resident of Boulder, Chris is very enthusiastic in her work and knowledgeable in all aspects of Sombrero. She finds it exciting to talk to people from all over the country who are interested in experiencing Colorado by horseback. Chris does an excellent job of providing information in a professional and efficient manner.

Over 100 Sombrero employees are proud to be a part in providing this great American experience in Colorado.
