Horse rental and leasing is our specialty at the Sombrero White River Horse Camp Meeker, Colorado

You can rent horses and equipment by the day or week for unguided riding, packing, hunting or fishing in the Flat Tops Wilderness or other White River Destinations.

UNGUIDED RIDING. Horses and pack equipment for rent by the day or week for your backcountry trips: Take a saddle horse for yourself and a pack horse for your gear to fully enjoy a spectacular mountain trip. We can deliver horses for your group to any of the many trailheads in our area, including the White River National Forest and Flat Tops Wilderness. GUIDED SCENIC TRAIL RIDES. You will enjoy riding Sombrero's gentle and well-trained mountain horses on individualized 1 and 2-hour scenic trail rides:

FULL DAY GUIDED WILDERNESS RIDES on the many beautiful trails in the White River National Forest or Flat Tops Wilderness Area. Come spend the day on horseback in country too pretty to describe . . . "Far from the maddening crowd." You'll see mountain lakes and streams in an area teeming with elk, deer and other wildlife amidst a sea of wildflowers. All the beauty of the Colorado Rockies and never a crowd! You'll often be the only ones for miles around as you explore pristine mountain lakes, lush meadows and verdant forests. Bring your camera; there will be numerous Kodak moments! $100 per person

FISHING TRIPS are our specialty. Fishing is at its best in the high, remote lakes and streams of the White River National Forest. Enjoy a "Ride and Reel" wilderness experience in north western Colorado. These fresh waters are teeming with an assortment of fish including cutthroat, rainbow and brook trout. Fly fishermen will be rewarded with not only a fine catch, but solitude and magnificent mountain scenery.
Come fish for a day or a week. You can combine several great outdoor activities for the vacation of a lifetime. Enjoy fishing, camping and horseback riding in Meeker.

Meeker White Fish Horse Camp also has private fishing access on the "Blue Ribbon" White River for those of you who do not wish to ride. Please call for rates.

HUNTING HORSES for rent for all of the Colorado big game hunting seasons including archery, black powder and all the rifle seasons. We can deliver your horses in the Meeker area to your campsite or trailhead. We can also pack out your elk or deer. Please call or write, or check out our big game hunting season.
